Our mission at the Pittstown Area Food Pantry is to provide supplemental food assistance to people in need in the Pittstown Area. For many, it is a supplement to low or fixed income, loss of income due to illness or job loss, or loss of second income for single parents. We help provide nutritious food to babies, children, seniors, veterans, and struggling families. Our service is available to residents living in the villages, hamlets, and towns of Schaghticoke, Melrose, Raymertown, Johnsonville, Buskirk, Valley Falls, Tomhannock, Boyntonville, and Pittstown.
Once a month we provide enough groceries for a minimum of 3 meals per day for at least 3 days for each person in the household.
We have been able to do this with the continued support from the Town of Pittstown who provides our needed space; and the area churches, local businesses, organizations, neighbors, and volunteers who donate their time, food, and money to help eliminate hunger in the Pittstown Area.
Also, we are a member of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY, and the Food Pantries of the Capital District who provide their invaluable assistance.
It is the continued assistance from this great community that has made this food pantry a success for so many years. BIG THANK YOU TO ALL!
